Meet the Liberian Board of Directors
Elder Isaac Zally, Sr., Chairman—is the Resident Pastor of the Greater Refuge Cathedral, the Founder and Executive Director of World Changers School of Ministries, a ministry committed to making able ministers for the purpose of multiplying disciples for Christ and Principal of a senior high school, the R.C Lawson Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Theology Degree (B. Th) from Global University. He has been married for 23 years and the union is blessed with five children.
Mr. John B. S. Davies, III, Co-Chairman—is the President/CEO of the Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI), the President of the Bankers Association of Liberia, and Vice President of the Bankers Association of West Africa. He holds a Master of Accountancy (Macc) degree from Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee, USA, and a Diploma in Public Financial Management from Duke University. Mr. Davies previously served as Accountant General of the Republic of Liberia from May of 2010 to Jan-2012, Chief Accounting/Assistant Comptroller from 2000 – 2006, CFO, and EVP for Finance Administration from 2007 to 2010. Other posts held include; Advanced level Accounting Instructor at the University of Liberia to present; Board of Trustee, AMEU; Member, Board of Directors for Center for Transparency (CENTAL), and Co-Chairman of the Board of Deacons of Trumpet of Praise Tabernacle.
Mrs. Malinda L. Coleman-Woodson, Secretary—is the Office Manager for several USAID projects. She serves as a Consultant to develop local budgets for International Companies participating in USAID projects, Logistics Support Specialist for the World Bank-funded projects, Liaison Officer, a Representative for a German organization and Liberian NGO’s, Finance and Administrative Manager for various international organizations and worked as an external auditor. Mrs. Woodson holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting from the Cuttington University. She has over 15 years of experience in the non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) sector and auditing. Currently, she serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees of TOP International school.
Cllr. Sarah M. Jegede-Toe, Member—is the Co-chairman of the National Elections Commission of Liberia. She worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) as the Legal and Judicial Support Systems Division, and at the American Bar Association (ABA) as a Senior Staff Attorney. Also, she was a member of the Grievance and Ethics Committee of the Supreme Court headed by Cllr. Clarence Simpson, the Chairperson of the Violence Mitigation Conference held from December 2-4, 2010 that was hosted in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, USA. Commissioner Jegede-Toe is working towards the advancement of the Legal profession in Liberia. She holds an LLB Degree from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia and is a counselor-at-law and she is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickson University in the United States with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations.
Bishop Isaac J. Mehn, Sr., Member: He is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Trumpet of Praise Tabernacle Ministries. He established these ministries, over the period of 21 years (1995-present). He is the Second Vice Presiding Bishop, National Treasurer, and Diocesan Bishop of Diocese One of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith International, Liberia.
He holds a Bachelor of Theology (B. Th.) from the Assembly of God Bible College, a Master degree in Educational Supervision from the University of Liberia, and is currently a second-year doctoral student at the Asbury Theological Seminary, Kentucky, USA, studying for his Doctor of Ministry degree with a research focus on the advantages of Successional leadership in Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith International, Liberia.
Rev. Sylvester T. Toe, Member—is the Resident Pastor & General Coordinator for church operations at the Trinity Healing Temple Central Church. He is the Secretary-General of the Board of Trustees, Trinity Healing Temple. He holds a Master of Arts (Theological Studies), MATS degree in New Testament Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey, USA, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting from the University of Liberia, and a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) degree from the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary, Liberia. Also, he is an adjoint faculty member at the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Toe is married and the union is blessed with two (2) boys.
Rev. E. Alfred Walker, Executive Director—is a member of the Director of Directors. He is the Resident Pastor at Trumpet of Praise Tabernacle. He holds a Master of Arts (Theological Studies) MATS degree in Christian Ethics from Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey, USA. He is the President of the National Youth Department of the Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Faith International, Liberia. He is passionate about education and leadership development for children and young people. His passion for education and leadership development have got him involved in several initiatives for children and youth in Liberia and the USA. His vision to raise up a new generation of servant-leaders, especially in Liberia is his greatest desire and the driving force behind his total commitment to CELDI-Liberia. He believes “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men [and women]” (Frederick Douglass). Rev. Walker is married to Josephine and the union is blessed with three (3) children, Courage, Israel, and Susan.
